What it is
A bakkie on rent-to-own: a fixed weekly amount for 4 years, then you can buy it for R5,000. Insurance, tracker, service and licence are included.
Who qualifies
Self-employed people and small businesses with average turnover from R15,000 a month, and employed buyers from R9,000 take-home.
What it costs
From R2 650 a week for a Toyota Hilux single cab, with a deposit from R24 500.
How fast
6 months of bank statements is enough for self-employed applicants. First answer in 60 seconds.
A bakkie that pays for itself
For a builder, plumber, landscaper or trader, a bakkie is how the money comes in. Renting one by the day or week costs a fortune; financing one is hard if you are self-employed.
With rent-to-own you pay one fixed weekly amount out of your turnover and own the bakkie at the end. If it is in our workshop for more than 48 hours, you get a courtesy vehicle or that week free, so jobs don’t stop.
What self-employed applicants need
No payslip? No problem. Send these as photos on WhatsApp:
SA ID and driver’s licence
6 months of business or personal bank statements
Proof of address
Anything that shows your work: invoices, a CIPC registration or a supplier account (optional)
Bakkies for business in Soweto
Many Soweto drivers work trips into Johannesburg and Sandton, so a car with unlimited kilometres matters. We deliver and service vehicles across Soweto and the rest of Gauteng, including Orlando, Diepkloof, Meadowlands, Dobsonville, Protea Glen, Pimville and Jabulani.
You apply online, send your documents as photos on WhatsApp and collect your vehicle in 2–5 working days after approval. No branch visits.
Photos are illustrative. Weekly amounts include VAT. The exact amount is confirmed in writing before you sign.
The YeboAuto deal
Eight promises the others won’t put in writing.
We read every complaint about rent-to-own in South Africa: surprise fees, balloon payments, cars stuck at the workshop while the debit order keeps running. Then we wrote the opposite into our deal.
Every rand, upfront
Weekly amount, deposit, term, the price to buy it at the end, and where every rand goes: the vehicle, insurance, service, licence and our margin. Your price card is locked in writing for 7 days.
No balloon: a small, fixed buy price
At the end you can buy the vehicle for a fixed price written into your agreement on day one: R5,000 for a car, R500 for a bike. No R40,000 surprise.
Buy it early if you want
Had a good season? Ask for an early buy-out quote and own it before the term ends. Most rent-to-own deals make you sit out the full contract.
Unlimited km for drivers & riders
Drivers do 1,200 km a week. We don’t cap the kilometres you earn with.
Off the road? Your week is on us
If a repair takes more than 24 hours, you get a loan vehicle or that week is free. Never pay for a car or bike you can’t earn with.
Bad-week pause
Can’t pay one week? WhatsApp us that day. Once a year you can move one payment to the end of your term, no penalty, no fight.
Road-legal from day one
PrDP and operating-licence help for e-hailing, the right insurance cover, and the papers in your hands for every roadblock.
