Low deposit · Pretoria

No-deposit rent to own in Pretoria: what’s real.

Almost every “no deposit” deal hides the money somewhere else: a start-up fee, a higher weekly amount or a balloon. Here’s what a low deposit really gets you, with the full price shown.

What it is

A deposit is money paid upfront that lowers your weekly amount. “No deposit” deals usually charge a start-up or admin fee instead, or add the deposit to your weekly payments.

Who qualifies

Anyone who qualifies on income. A bigger deposit is not required to be approved; it only lowers what you pay each week.

What it costs

Our lowest deposits: R995 on a delivery bike, R7 500 on an e-hailing car and R13 500 on an everyday car.

How fast

You can pay the deposit when you collect, after approval. First answer in 60 seconds.

Why “no deposit” is rarely free

Providers need some money upfront to cover the first weeks of insurance, licensing and admin. If they don’t call it a deposit, it usually appears as one of these:

  • A “start-up”, “joining” or “admin” fee of R10,000–R30,000
  • A higher weekly amount for the whole term
  • A balloon payment at the end
  • A shorter grace period before the car is collected if you pay late

How to compare deposit options

Compare the full price, not the deposit: weekly amount × number of weeks + deposit + fees + balloon. A R15,000 deposit with a lower weekly amount is often thousands of rand cheaper over 3 years than a “no deposit” deal.

On every YeboAuto vehicle you can switch the term and see the full cost to own, including the fixed buy price at the end.

The YeboAuto deal

Eight promises the others won’t put in writing.

We read every complaint about rent-to-own in South Africa: surprise fees, balloon payments, cars stuck at the workshop while the debit order keeps running. Then we wrote the opposite into our deal.

Every rand, upfront

Weekly amount, deposit, term, the price to buy it at the end, and where every rand goes: the vehicle, insurance, service, licence and our margin. Your price card is locked in writing for 7 days.

No balloon: a small, fixed buy price

At the end you can buy the vehicle for a fixed price written into your agreement on day one: R5,000 for a car, R500 for a bike. No R40,000 surprise.

Buy it early if you want

Had a good season? Ask for an early buy-out quote and own it before the term ends. Most rent-to-own deals make you sit out the full contract.

Unlimited km for drivers & riders

Drivers do 1,200 km a week. We don’t cap the kilometres you earn with.

Off the road? Your week is on us

If a repair takes more than 24 hours, you get a loan vehicle or that week is free. Never pay for a car or bike you can’t earn with.

Bad-week pause

Can’t pay one week? WhatsApp us that day. Once a year you can move one payment to the end of your term, no penalty, no fight.

Road-legal from day one

PrDP and operating-licence help for e-hailing, the right insurance cover, and the papers in your hands for every roadblock.

FAQ

Straight answers

Is there rent to own with no deposit in Pretoria?

Some providers advertise it, but most charge a start-up fee or a higher weekly amount instead. YeboAuto shows the deposit and the full price upfront: from R995 on a delivery bike.

Can I pay the deposit off?

For bikes, the R995 deposit is all you need. For cars, choose a longer term to lower the weekly amount, or ask about splitting the deposit.

Do I get my deposit back?

The deposit is part of the price of your vehicle, so it counts towards ownership. It is not a refundable security deposit.
